Getting here
Van Gogh Alive Brighton is located at Brighton Dome, Church Street and New Road, Brighton, BN1 1UE.
Van Gogh Alive will take place in the newly refurbished Brighton Dome Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre, which can be accessed via the Brighton Dome 1 entrance on New Road.
Brighton Dome is located in the city centre, part of the historic Royal Pavilion Estate. We encourage visitors to use sustainable travel options such as public transport, walking or cycling to and from Brighton Dome.
By foot
Please use Google Maps for directions to Brighton Dome or Brighton & Hove City Council’s Walking Map.
By bike
If you have a bike, there are cycle lanes across the city, including along the seafront and Old Steine. Plan your route using Brighton & Hove City Council’s Cycle Map.
Bikes can be locked up on racks at the bottom of Church Street or New Road.
Alternatively, BTN Bike Share have bike stations across the city. The closest location to dock BTN hire bikes is at the bottom of Church Street, near the entrance to Brighton Dome.
By bus
Brighton & Hove Buses take you to your favourite places. Buses are a great way to get around our fantastic city, and there are many routes to Brighton Dome. Catching the bus is better for the environment and can help improve air quality with just one bus taking up to 75 cars off the road. Bus stops on North St, Queen’s Rd and Pavilion Parade all within a short walk to the venue. Plan your journey here.
*Under 16s and BusID holders will be able to travel free when accompanied by an adult or concessionary pass holder. Up to three free children per paying adult. The offer is not available on any night buses.
By rail
Brighton railway station is a 10-minute walk away with fast, regular services into Brighton from London (journey time just 52 minutes from Victoria or 56 minutes from London Bridge) and from along the coast. By car
Please check your route for local traffic information before you travel.
On-street parking is very limited near Brighton Dome, but maybe possible after 6pm and on Sundays. There are a number of nearby car parks such as NCP Theatre Car park.
You can park at the NCP Theatre Car Park for £7.95 (£6.95 using the ParkPassApp) after 5pm (exit by 3am)
For matinee performances Brighton Dome visitors can access a special reduced price on the daytime rate at the NCP Theatre Car Park Church Street and the NCP Car Park on Russell road when using the NCP Park Pass App only.
Up to 4 hours – £8 (normally £18)
Up to 12 hours – £15 (normally £28)
You need to download the NCP Park Pass App (available on Apple and Google devices) and enter the SaverID (discount code): BRIGHTONDOME linking a payment card and then scan using the app to enter the car park
Electric vehicles and charging
The nearest electric vehicle charging points are in the NCP Theatre Car Park with standard 3 pin (3kW) & Type 2 (7kW) outlets. By taxi
Taxis are available 24 hours a day. The nearest taxi pick-up and drop-off point is on Church Street. In Brighton, Hackney Carriage taxis are white and aqua and can be hailed on the street or booked by calling 01273 202020.
Private hire vehicles, including app based operators, can only be booked and won’t pick up passengers from the street.
