JOHNNIE WALKER PRINCES STREET

Johnnie Walker Princes Street

Van Gogh Alive has partnered with Johnnie Walker Princes Street to help our guests continue their Edinburgh experience, hopping from one multi-sensory and immersive journey to another.

A 5-minute walk from the main exhibit in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, Johnnie Walker Princes Street tells the 200-year history of Johnnie Walker and celebrates
Scotland’s national drink in a way that has never been seen before. Whether you consider yourself a whisky aficionado, or don’t consider yourself a whisky drinker, there is
something for everyone across the eight floor venue.

The venue is crowned by two rooftop bars, with stunning views over Scotland’s capital city and creating the perfect backdrop to soak up Scotland’s ‘starry nights’.

Journey of Flavour

Johnnie-Wlaker-Journey-of-Flavour

The venue’s flagship experience, Journey of Flavour, is a multi-room immersive tour into rich history of Johnnie Walker and the pursuit of flavour across the four corners of Scotland.

Through personalised drinks, theatre and impressive light shows, discover Scotland’s national drink like you’ve never seen it before.

Once you’ve traded silent galleries for Van Gogh Alive, you can now swap sleeping casks for the Journey of Flavour – the perfect accompaniment to your day in Edinburgh to learn more about another global icon.

Receive 15% off* Journey of Flavour, Whisky Explorers or Whisky Maker’s Cellar experiences with the code: VGALIVE2022 (*terms and conditions apply).

Explorers’ Bothy

Johnnie-Walker-Explorers-Bothy

The Explorers’ Bothy challenges the conventions of a modern whisky bar, taking Scotland’s most sought-after whiskies and elevating their wow moments.

With story-telling at the heart of the bar, guests can expect to learn about the cultural icons that have either inspired or been inspired by Johnnie Walker over the last 200 years, from Bollywood films, to modern Scottish musicians. Expect bright blue whisky drinks and unusual garnishes such as prosciutto ham.

Continue your intriguing Van Gogh Alive experience into the evening with an incredible evening in the Explorers’ Bothy.

1820 Bar

Johnnie-Walker-1820s-Bar

What if John Walker had owned a cocktail bar instead of a grocer’s store? This is what the team at the 1820 bar ask.

Taking inspiration from flavours around the world, the cocktail menu pairs spices and fruits for delicious drinks. No matter what time you’re heading for your session at Van Gogh Alive, head to the 1820 bar for the all-day food menu, which celebrates the best of local and seasonal produce.

Guests can also enjoy their drinks on the outdoor terrace and soak up the atmosphere of the city with views over Edinburgh Castle.
